All That You Can't Leave Behind is the first full length movie produced by The Backlot Motion Picture Company, after producing several shorts including the award winning short TELLING MACKENZIE and the short, SCENES FROM A MARRIAGE.
Nearly the entire cast of ATYCLB came from the master acting class at BRIFT, The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Television
ATYCLB was produced with the help of the Burt Reynolds Institute in Jupiter, Florida -- it was produced on a very small budget that came mostly from Producer/Writer/Director William Butland
As tribute to Mr. Reynolds, the number 22 appears several times in the film, including on a night shirt worn by one of the daughters and a T-shirt worn by housekeeper Lourdes. Mr. Reynolds wore the number 22 on his jersey at Florida State University and on the jersey he wore in the hit film THE LONGEST YARD
